 As the water finally lowers to fishable levels here in North Idaho I decided to take my family fishing on the upper Coeur d'Alene River.  This fishery switched to a C&R fishery just a few years ago and now the fishing is stellar.   Native Westslope Cutthroat reach lengths up to 24".  It is by far my favorite fishery offered near the Ponderay/Sandpoint area.  My sister-in-law (Leslie Spohn) became hopelessly addicted to fly fishing during her 5 day stay on... Day one of the casting pond is going on right now. We have all of the rods, reels, fly lines and glasses out of the store and ready to test. It is a beautiful day to be out on the water, so if the boss has you doing chores, sneak down and demo all of the gear. Big R loves helping kid’s and fishing. This year, like the past 4, we have helped Walleye’s Unlimited and the MRF with the purchasing of Rod’s and Reel’s and Flies for all of the kids who head on out to Wadsworth Pond for a day of learning and fishing! This year there were some nice fish caught, the weather was great and we thought we would share some photos of the day thanks to Walleye’s Unlimited and the NMS Fishing Club.
