Cornfed's Guttersnipe Sculpin
Keaten, aka Cornfed, developed this articulated sculpin for triggering larger predatory trout in systems populated with sculpins. “This is my go to fly when fishing is tough. If you look at a live sculpin, they have a very wide head that tapers as you move down the body, which tends to move a lot of water, ultimately triggering fish to attack it. This is the main trigger point I incorporated into the Guttersnipe. It can be tied in a variety of sizes and colors to match the sculpin within a particular system year around.” This fly incorporates the perfect amount of flash, bunny, and marabou to trigger an explosive response from fish, making it a truly effective pattern to add to your arsenal.
