There is nothing more addictive in fly fishing than watching a large trout chase down and crush a dry fly. Hoppers are large clumsy terrestrials that fall frequently into the water and often produce ferocious strikes from sizeable trout into the late summer months. The Rockchuck Hopper is a very simple and durable pattern with the profile of a hopper in the water that just works.
