Welcome to Great Falls, Montana's full service fly shop located near some of the best fly fishing opportunities in the state. Big R Fly Shop is a new dimension within Big R Stores, which is a Montana owned farm and ranch retail store. We fish hard and often, we are obsessed with bugs, and we love to teach fly tying and fly fishing. The idea to create the fly shop stemmed from the passion of the shop guys and the fly fishers in the Great Falls community. We are here to further the sport of fly fishing through conservation, the next generation of fly fishers, and by creating an atmosphere which allows anyone who is interested in the sport to be educated on how to become better fly fishers, no matter who they are.

We stock a full selection of fly fishing gear for every species from trout fishing in Montana to Saltwater flats fishing and much more. Our fly tying section is one of our most highlighted dimensions and we are continuously working to improve our material selection.

Our main goal is to get as many people out on the rivers, lakes, and streams, learning our passion, making them feel comfortable, and allowing the sport to be affordable and attainable. Great Falls has so much to offer and the fishing around Great Falls is often overlooked, which leaves most of the surrounding waters unpopulated.
