About the Tailwater Charlie
Sam Wike came up with this simple fly after not being able to decide between fishing pink, orange, and red in the winter months. This has a scud/midge/shrimp look that takes less than two minutes to tie and has the best of all worlds. It's a go to easy to tie pattern which is why it got dubbed the "Charlie" after Charlie Smith's bonefish pattern the Crazy Charlie which is a simple to die go to pattern in the saltwater.
